What

The classic Garry's Mod-inspired freeform experience: spawn props, mess with physics, and build whatever you want. I led development of Sandbox as the primary programmer, owning the project end-to-end.

My Role

I was in charge of the project from a programming standpoint: scoping work, delegating tasks to other developers, shipping features, and keeping the codebase healthy through regular code reviews.

Key responsibilities included:

  • Project leadership: coordinating with other members of the team and breaking work down into actionable tasks
  • Feature development: implementing core gameplay systems including:
    • Spawnlists
    • Unified Spawning System
    • UI
    • Post Processing Manager
    • Inventory System
  • Code reviews: reviewing contributions from other team members to maintain quality and consistency
  • Architecture decisions: establishing patterns for the codebase that other contributors could follow
